Terms of Service

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Shakra Labs LLC (“Berri,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Berri product and website. By creating an account or using Berri, you agree to them.

What Berri is

Berri is a personal finance accountability tool. It connects to your financial accounts with read-only access, shows you where your money is, analyzes what’s hurting you, and helps you build and follow plans, including coaching from Berri’s AI assistant. Berri is a new and evolving product: features may change, break, or be removed as we build.

What Berri is not

Berri is not a bank, broker, lender, or licensed financial, investment, tax, or legal advisor. Nothing in Berri, including anything its AI coach says, is professional financial advice. That coach is an AI system and can be wrong. All financial decisions, and their outcomes, are yours. Berri cannot move, transfer, or spend your money; it has read-only access by design.

Eligibility and your account

Berri is available only in the United States, and you must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of information you provide. Link only financial accounts you own or are authorized to view.

Membership, trial, and billing

Berri membership is $14.99 USD per month, with the first month free for eligible new subscribers. Your checkout shows trial eligibility, the trial end and first payment date, and any applicable taxes before you agree to pay. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly membership. It then renews each month until cancelled.

Polar is our merchant of record and handles checkout, payment collection, applicable sales taxes, and subscription billing. The payment terms and disclosures presented by Polar at checkout also apply. If we change the subscription price, we will notify you before it takes effect for your subscription and give you an opportunity to cancel before being charged the new price.

Cancellation and refund requests

Open Settings → Billing in Berri and use Manage subscription to access the billing portal and cancel renewal. Cancel before your trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge, or before the next renewal to prevent that renewal charge. The billing portal shows when cancellation takes effect and when your access ends. Closing the app or simply stopping use does not cancel a subscription.

For help cancelling, questions about a charge, or a refund request, contact support@berri.sh. Any applicable refund will be processed through our billing provider. Nothing in these terms limits a refund, cancellation, or other consumer right required by law.

AI usage and feature availability

Membership includes up to 100 Berri answers per billing cycle, subject to the usage limits shown in the app. Longer or more complex answers use more of your plan capacity, so a cycle can reach its limit before you have used 100 answers. The app shows your remaining answers and your plan capacity used. Failed or cancelled answers do not count toward that allowance. Other processing and abuse-prevention limits may apply. Once a question is accepted, processing can continue after you close the tab or lose connection. Use Stop in the conversation to request cancellation. Runs may also end because of a processing limit or failure, and we do not guarantee a response time or an answer to every question.

Texting and native mobile or desktop apps are not included as available launch features. Roadmap descriptions are possibilities, not commitments to deliver a feature on a particular date. Stopping a chat does not cancel your membership.

Third-party services

Account linking is provided by Plaid; by linking an institution you also agree to Plaid’s applicable end-user terms and privacy policy. Berri relies on data supplied by your institutions and our partners, and we can’t guarantee it is always complete, current, or error-free.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Berri: no unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering, interfering with the service, or using it to violate the law or the rights of others.

Your content and our rights

You own your data. You grant us the limited license needed to operate Berri on it: storing, processing, and displaying it back to you. Berri’s software, design, and content (except your data) belong to Shakra Labs. If you send us feedback, we can use it without obligation.

Disclaimers

Berri is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Berri will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its analysis is accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shakra Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings, or data, arising from your use of Berri. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using Berri and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other users at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; if the changes are material we’ll notify you before they take effect, and continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
